At TabTally, we believe that your personal activity logs, preferences, metrics, and application data belong exclusively to you. TabTally was architected from the ground up as a privacy-first, offline-first application.
This Privacy Policy explains how TabTally handles information, confirming our strict commitment to user privacy, data minimization, and total transparency.
02Zero Personal Data Collection Policy
We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or harvest personal data of any kind. Specifically:
- No User Identification: We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or login credentials.
- No Location Tracking: We do not access or record GPS data, IP locations, or geographic telemetry.
- No Device Identifiers: We do not log Advertising IDs (IDFA/GAID), MAC addresses, or hardware serial numbers.
- No Usage Analytics: We do not integrate third-party analytics engines (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or Mixpanel).
03Local Device Storage & Security Isolation
All data created, modified, or saved within TabTally is stored exclusively on your local physical device using operating system sandboxed storage mechanisms (such as SharedPreferences, SQLite, or local file storage).
Your data is protected by your device's native hardware security controls, encryption, and operating system permission boundaries. Your records never leave your physical device unless you explicitly perform a manual local export.
04Application Permissions & Scope
TabTally requires minimal operating system permissions to function:
- Local Storage Read/Write: Used exclusively to persist user settings, local records, and state preferences locally on your hardware.
- Zero Network Transmissions: The application operates independently without requiring active internet connectivity for core utility functions.
05Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)
TabTally complies strictly with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guidelines regarding minors. Because we do not collect personal data from any user, we do not knowingly solicit or collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions).
06Third-Party SDKs & External Advertising
TabTally contains no third-party ad networks, pop-up banners, tracking pixels, or cross-app profiling cookies. We do not monetize user data or partner with data brokers.
07User Data Control & Deletion Rights
You retain complete, absolute ownership of your data at all times. You can modify or delete your stored records within the app. Furthermore, uninstalling TabTally or clearing the application data in your system settings instantly and permanently deletes 100% of the locally stored data from your device.
08Bill Calculation Disclaimer
TabTally provides bill splitting and tally calculation utilities for casual group expense sharing. Users are responsible for verifying restaurant, event, or shared invoice accuracy before making financial settlements.

We may periodically update our Privacy Policy to reflect app enhancements or legal standards. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Last Revised" date and version marker.
